I’ve made many friends on the Internet over the years, from all over the world! I have known some of my online friends since 1999, which is pretty remarkable when you think about it – that’s 10 years worth of friendship with people I have never actually met, but have seen grow up, get married and have kids etc.
I have friends in The Netherlands, friends in the UK, friends from Canada, Malaysia, Australia and so many other far flung places. We chat on forums and via messenger all the time, but I have never actually spoken to most of them on the phone, that’d be cool, to actually have the phone ring and it be someone from the Internet, calling me from another country using Calling Cards. When I answer I think I would be so shocked and confused if they said who they were, it would surely take a minute or two for it to register in my brain
You can get Phone Cards from various websites online that make international calling simple. I might just get me a Prepaid Phone Card and give one of my very bestest online friends from Australia the surprise of her life! She’d be so happy.
