I have been looking at a lot of fitness equipment recently, my elliptical broke and it was out of warranty so I thought I was going to have to buy a new one – but after much wrangling they agreed to replace it so I don’t need to get anything new afterall – phew – even though there are lots of cheap ones about at the moment because of the new year sales, I am still happy I don’t have to pay for a new one

I decided recently that once I am down to my goal weight, and confident I can stay there, I am going to go for my personal training certification — I would love to be able to do for other people what my trainer has done for me. It’s also a great way of making sure I lead a healthy lifestyle always and of course it pays quite well.
Who knows, in five years time maybe I could be the next Jillian Michaels? Ok maybe not, I could never be that hard ass with people haha

Yeah, that new work out DVD I got certainly gives you a work out — I am embarrassed to admit I didn’t even finish it because it totally killed me, but as it was my first time I think that’s OK, I am sure I will get better at it as time goes on and I use it more.
It was hard going…as in..there’s a lot of actual dance moves in it that you have to learn and my coordination and balance are not my best abilities!
I hurt today though, every muscle aches and as bothersome as that is…I know it means I was working muscles I don’t usually work so it’s all good
New work out DVD

I just got a new work out DVD in the sales, yay.
I have been using the same ancient one for several years now so I guess it was about time I updated. Most of my work outs are done on the elliptical but when I want some aerobics it’s straight to the DVD player with my ancient dance work out.
Now I have a Ministry of Sound one, how up to date! I just hope that it’s not too hard because it does look really hard just from the preview, lots of jumping up and down and choreography, eep.
I plan to try it out over the next few days so I will let you know how it goes
Weight loss journey

This time two years ago I weighed more than I ever have before in my adult life, I was a whopping 15 stone and 10 pounds, that’s 220 pounds — and I am only 5 foot tall — I was biiiiig.
I am currently weighing in at 10 stone 9 pounds and am well on my way to getting to my goal weight.
I have lost the weight the slow and sensible way. I work out 5 days a week and consume around 1400 calories a day. It can be really frustrating losing it this way, because I can go literally months without losing any thing — but I also think it’s the most sensible way to do it because it’s a sustainable life style change. I have no fears that I will suddenly come off the ‘diet’ and pile all the weight back on.
I give myself mini goals as they help keep me motivated, my next mini goal is 10 stone 5 pounds — this will put me in the same stone as I was 5 years ago when the husband and I got together and it will mean I have lost a total of 75 pounds.
I am unsure of my main goal weight — according to statistics my ideal weight is around 7 stone 7 pounds but that seems insane to me, I think I will be happy at about 9 stone 9 pounds but I guess I just have to get there and wait and see how I feel.
New Boots!

I got some gorgeous new boots today, it is especially exciting because they have a nice big heel on them — I could never wear heals like this while I was so overweight because my feet would be killing to the point of not being able to walk after 5 minutes!
They are black, knee high, 4 inch heel and with 2 buckles on them.
The best part is that they were in the sale at just $30 reduced from $75.
