Just Say NO!

May 6th, 2009

I was helping my husbands boss find new business insurance a few days ago. Again, why do I always get roped into these thing? Because I know how to use the internet and like a good bargain people assume I know how to get them the best deal on anything and everything.

I don’t know any thing about business insurance, nada, but of course I said sure I will help — I always say I will. I really need to learn how to say no I think.

“No, I don’t know any thing about that. Do your own research”

See, it’s not hard is it?

Bargain Crazy!

May 6th, 2009

I love nothing more than to get a 10% off online coupon code, actually that’s a lie, I like 20% off ones even better and you can find loads of them on BestOnlineCoupons.com, they cover over 1000 online retailers!

I am a big online shopper, but I also do love a bargain — I do loads of research before I buy anything and go completely out of my way to save whatever I can on my purchases. I used cashback sites, I use sites like Best Online Coupons to find any available discounts and I feel completely accomplished and satisfied if I even manage to save myself $1 :)

My favourite discounts to get are free shipping ones, I hate having to pay for shipping so I always do a little dance if I can get that for free!

The only downside to loving a bargain is that I buy a lot of things I wouldn’t usually buy or don’t need just because they are so cheap, which sort of defeats the purpose of bargain hunting!

I am headed to Walmart tomorrow to stock up on some essential bits and bobs so just searched the site to see if any Walmart Coupons, discounts or special offers are currently running that I can take advantage of.

Looking for Classic menus for Microsoft products?

May 6th, 2009

My lovely husband works in a big office setting with around 300 other people. I can’t mention the name of the company he works for, but it is a big well known firm — as part of his job he needs to use various Microsoft software like excel, office and word on an almost daily basis and he’s always complaining about it, mostly it goes over my head, but there are always little niggles that drive him crazy!

I will have to tell him about Addintools.com where you can get a Free Trial of Classic Style Menus and Toolbars for Microsoft Office 2007. They offer the classic menus software for Word 2007 and Excel 2007 also. I can’t remember how I came across the site now, but as soon as I saw it I thought of him.

One of the reasons his bosses won’t make any changes when staff ask for them is because “it’s too much hassle”, but they wouldn’t have that excuse if they used this product because they can automatically deploy it to all users in a very easy way! It comes in one of several languages and as mentioned you can try out a free trial to see if it suits your needs before making any commitment to buy :)
