Shopping Trip

March 30th, 2009

I didn’t do too much buying on my shopping trip, not from want of trying, there just wasn’t much that I fancied. I did get a few bits though, as well as just generally having a nice time with my girl friend :)

I got a couple of sports bras for next to nothing, one of them was $2 and the other $3, they are name branded ones as well! I got some blue crop joggers just for working out in for $3. I got a really cute pink hoodie for $15 and some little red frilly knickers for the Husband to enjoy on Valentines day ;)

I hope there are plenty more shopping trips to come :)

I think I need glasses

March 25th, 2009

So I am pretty sure I need to start wearing glasses again. This is fine by me in one sense because I always liked wearing them, but I do worry about the cost as we don’t have a lot of money at the moment and glasses can be very expensive — especially when you are clumsy like me.

I am going to the eye doctor on Tuesday to find out if I really do need them again or not, I have been getting headaches a lot recently and I have a real hard time looking at text on my screen, this makes blogging really difficult — the white background and black text really causes me issues.

Happy Birthday to me :)

March 20th, 2009

Today is my 29th birthday, which is a relief because for a few moments I got confused and thought it was my 30th — that would have sucked.

I told my loved ones that I did not want a fuss this year and it seems they have taken that literally, no one has even wished me a happy birthday yet except one friend, and I have spoken to both my mum and my husband.

I hope they have not forgot, I said I didn’t want a fuss but that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to at least remember :(

Facebook is not a marketing tool

March 19th, 2009

Ugh, I am used to getting spammed all over the Internet — email, Myspace, Twitter etc etc but so far it seems Facebook had remained spam free. In the last two days I have had three separate people from companies try and add me as a friend.

That is so not cool. Facebook is for real life friends to connect, it is not a marketing tool.

I hope that Facebook manage to stamp down on this before it gets out of hand.

Excite Truck

March 17th, 2009

I got this in the post the other day, as part of my rental trial and I just played it earlier today — I really like it, it reminds me a little bit of Stunt FX which was on the N64 if I remember rightly.

I prefer it to Mario Kart any way, I was never sold on the Wii version of that…you can be the best racer by far but still lose due to getting battered by power ups. In Excite truck it’s not just about the best racer, it’s about who can drive with the most tricks and style.

Yup, I think I am going to like this…I am even tempted to get a wheel to play it with :)

Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook

March 14th, 2009

I am a terrible cook, I can’t cook and I won’t cook — it’s a good job my husband can and likes to otherwise I fear I would starve to death.

Ah OK I am not that bad, I am sure I could manage to feed myself if I absolutely had to, but I don’t have to so I have never tried to learn really.

Maybe I should change that, I am sure I could find plenty of free recipes and guides online — in fact I know you can because a friend was telling me about a recipe site a few days ago where they picked up some crock pot recipes. I am going to head on over there now :)

Wii Games

March 11th, 2009

I have a whole bunch of new Wii games that I am excited to get my teeth sunk into.

The first one I have already been playing a lot is Brain Training, I loved it on the DS and I love it on the Wii as well — though I obviously need practice, even when I think I have done really well I only manage a C+!

I also have Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Zack and Wiki and Boom Blox — it’s going to be a fun few weeks on the Wii alright :)

Ow Ow Ow!

March 2nd, 2009

Yeah, that new work out DVD I got certainly gives you a work out — I am embarrassed to admit I didn’t even finish it because it totally killed me, but as it was my first time I think that’s OK, I am sure I will get better at it as time goes on and I use it more.

It was hard going…as in..there’s a lot of actual dance moves in it that you have to learn and my coordination and balance are not my best abilities!

I hurt today though, every muscle aches and as bothersome as that is…I know it means I was working muscles I don’t usually work so it’s all good :)

New work out DVD

March 1st, 2009

I just got a new work out DVD in the sales, yay.

I have been using the same ancient one for several years now so I guess it was about time I updated. Most of my work outs are done on the elliptical but when I want some aerobics it’s straight to the DVD player with my ancient dance work out.

Now I have a Ministry of Sound one, how up to date! I just hope that it’s not too hard because it does look really hard just from the preview, lots of jumping up and down and choreography, eep.

I plan to try it out over the next few days so I will let you know how it goes :)
