Visiting Family

Just wanted to let you know that I won’t be around for a week or so because I am headed down the country to stay with family.

I am quite nervous about it because they are family from my husbands side that I am yet to meet — and from every thing he and the rest of his family have told me they are quite hard to please.

I am not great at first impressions at the best of times, but I am even worse when I am nervous.

I am sure it will be fine though. We’ll be staying at their house so at least, I hope it’ll be fine!

Borrowed Wii Fit

I have been considering buying Wii Fit but it is a lot of money so I wanted to test it out first — so hubby borrowed it from a work friend for me over the weekend and I played it as much as I could so that I could get a feel for it.

I have to say, not that impressed.

The balance games were fun and I enjoyed the jogging but other than that I don’t really see what is so great about it.

If it cost about half as much as it does I would snap it up, but I am not sure it’s worth the expense.

Maybe the more I got into it and the more games and exercises that became available to me the more I would enjoy it? hmm, what to do, what to do.

So who am I?

Well how rude, in my excitement to get blogging I completely forgot to introduce myself to you!

My name is Anne, I am 29 years old and was born and bred in the UK but moved out to America two years ago to be with my man.

We are moving house in a few months time. We are getting married in December 2009. We currently have no children and no plans to have any any time soon. I work from home full time doing a variety of things.

I have lost 5 stone over the last two years.
I love Nintendo and am always playing my Wii, NDS and N64.
I love nothing more than a good shopping session and am the bargain queen.
I love television, especially reality shows and soaps.

And that is me in a nut shell :)

New Boots!

I got some gorgeous new boots today, it is especially exciting because they have a nice big heel on them — I could never wear heals like this while I was so overweight because my feet would be killing to the point of not being able to walk after 5 minutes!

They are black, knee high, 4 inch heel and with 2 buckles on them.

The best part is that they were in the sale at just $30 reduced from $75.

Why Lodowisko?

So I suppose I should explain why I picked Lodowisko as my domain name! Truth be told it means Ice Rink in Polish, my mother’s native tongue and I just love how it sounds — don’t you think it just rolls of the tongue…Lodowisko. It is one of my favourite words :)

It doesn’t currently stand for any thing, but it will. I am going to think about it over the coming days and come up with something creative — I will let you know when I do :)

Hello there :)

Hello and welcome to my new site, I am so excited I can’t even begin to tell you.

I have run a few websites before by I always had a friend create them for me, I didn’t know anything about buying domain names or hosting and least of all setting up wordpress.

This time I decided I wanted to do it all myself, and it’s taken me a while to get it all right but now here I am on my own domain blogging away.
